The Food and Cocktail Event of the Year!

It’s the food and cocktail event of the year! The one you can’t possibly pass up… Faith Middleton’s Food Schmooze® Martini Competition.

Now in its fifth year, this WNPR fundraiser attracts hundreds of passionate foodies and mixology enthusiasts ready to sample the most decadent and creative concoctions Connecticut’s fine restaurants and bars can dream up. And then everyone votes for their favorites, crowning the official martini of The Food Schmooze!

Partygoers navigate their way through Riverview’s stunning Grand Ballroom sampling an extraordinary array of martini and food delights from over 30 mixologists and food vendors. At previous competitions, attendees noshed on edible long-stemmed roses made of bacon, juicy beef and pork sliders and crepe desserts made right to order, accompanied by Cracker Jack candy-inspired cocktails, hot spicy concoctions and blueberry mo-tinis, to name just a few.  We can’t imagine how the chefs and bartenders will top themselves this year!

Dress is festive, but don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes because the D.J. rocks the ballroom with the tunes that keep the dance floor pumping.

For those looking for an opportunity to escape for a little chill-out time and conversation, grab your drinks and come outside to The Lounge, a peaceful outdoor space positioned along the Farmington River complete with Miami-style lounge seating.

As always, safety is important to us. We offer $25 tickets to designated drivers who can partake in all the food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Once again, Anthony DeSerio of The U.S. Bartenders Guild will serve as a judge, though the majority vote will be taken from the audience in attendance. Winners will be announced that night as well as in Connecticut Magazine and on WNPR’s Faith Middleton Food Schmooze® show and website.

The entire Food Schmooze® Team will be there to party along with you, including Faith Middleton, Chef Chris Prosperi, Alex Province and producers Lori Mack and Jonathan McNicol.
